New challenge for Ebimotors in 2018

2018 will be a breakthrough year for the italian team directed by Enrico Borghi. In occasion of the official ACO (Automobile Club de l’Ouest) press conference held on the 8th of February, it was announced the complete list of teams taking part to the European Le Mans Series and the ones selected for the 86th Le Mans 24 Hours. Ebimotors is proud to be included in both the announcements with a spot in the GTE Am class.

The team will field one of the six brand new Porsche 911 RSR, a car that marks a sweeping change in Porsche’s history, with the introduction of a newly modeled mid-engine framework. This will be possible thanks to a strategic collaboration with Proton Competition and its boss Christian Ried, who has been extremely helpful and shared his extensive experience in international racing.

“2018 could have not started better” stated Enrico Borghi. “The opportunity for me and my team to be part of the most important race in the world is a great honor. I have represented Porsche since the beginning of my career and being in Le Mans as the only Italian team is a dream come true”.

On the drivers side, the full line-up for both of the racing commitments has not yet been defined. One of the certainties will be the experienced Fabio Babini. The FIA Gold rated driver has been one of the main contenders in the 2017 Le Mans Cup, and will definitely be back on the grid eager to tackle the new challenges of this exciting season.
