Ebimotors starts with fifth place in Michelin Le Mans Cup

The first round of the Michelin Le Mans Cup ended with a fifth place for Ebimotors. At the Barcelona track, the duo of Fabrizio Broggi and Sergiu Nicolae in the number 95 Porsche 911 (992) GT3 R took fifth place in the GT3 category in a race troubled by numerous contacts.

The colourful Porsche of the Cermenate (CO) team was relegated from the fourth position obtained in the race to fifth place due to a 5-second penalty imposed by the race marshals. However, the spoils of points brought home in the championship were positive. The championship will be long and hard-fought and experience could be the trump card in favour of Fabrizio Broggi and Sergiu Nicolae.

After a fifth position gained in qualifying practice, the duo of Ebimotors was able to conduct a responsible race, avoiding contacts and smears. The two-hour race lasted until dusk because of a red flag that was shown mid-race due to a spectacular accident involving the twin car of Iron Dames.

The 10 points gained in the standings are a first step in the championship that will keep everyone with bated breath until the end, given the very close times between the drivers. In fact, in qualifying, six GT3 class cars were within one second. Another noteworthy detail is the second-best lap time in the race, just a few thousandths from the first. Detail that gives confidence for the rest of the season.

The second act of the Michelin Le Mans Cup 2025 is held in France at Paul Ricard racetrack in less than a month.
